Lead Full Stack Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer who can take real ownership of products, not just tickets.
You’ll work across backend, frontend, AWS and infrastructure, helping us design and build products used by customers around the world. You’ll be hands-on with the code while also making architecture decisions, reviewing technical work and helping other engineers grow.
We work on SaaS products, AI applications, automation systems and high-scale platforms. Some of the products we build serve millions of users, so we care about good engineering, reliability and building things that can scale.
The role works closely with our engineering, product and leadership teams, with working hours aligned primarily with Melbourne time.

• Lead technical and architectural decisions across products
• Build scalable backend services, APIs and modern frontend applications
• Own features from technical design through production
• Work extensively with React, Next.js, Node.js and TypeScript
• Design and operate AWS systems using Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS and EventBridge
• Build and maintain infrastructure using SST, AWS CDK, Terraform or Pulumi
• Improve application performance, reliability, security and deployment processes
• Strengthen CI/CD and engineering practices
• Review code and help maintain a high engineering standard
• Mentor engineers and contribute to their technical development
• Take part in architecture and design discussions
• Work directly with international clients and product teams
• Investigate difficult technical problems and find practical solutions
• Help us make sensible technology decisions as the company and products grow

10+ years of professional software engineering experience; 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience

No specific degree required. Strong professional engineering experience and demonstrated technical ability are more important.

Experience building and operating production SaaS, web applications, cloud-native platforms or other scalable software products. Experience with high-traffic or large-scale systems is valuable.

Based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Remote or hybrid work. Must be able to work primarily during hours aligned with Melbourne time.

Demonstrated experience taking ownership of technical decisions, designing production systems, writing production code, and working effectively with other engineers.

Laravel, Ruby on Rails, Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, Python, OpenAI, Anthropic, AI/ML integration, MLOps, event-driven architecture, large-scale SaaS or consumer platforms.

• Experience leading technical initiatives or owning significant engineering decisions

• Comfortable working across the stack rather than being limited to one layer
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
